I noticed that it's been months again since I wrote my last journal and put a few of you who noted me on the waiting list. Usually, I would have contacted all of the potential clients and finished their commissions one by one already, given that we sealed the deal and I accepted them (if I feel like I can do it).
But I haven't gotten to set up my new tablet STILL at this point.
Some of you probably know the feeling: Work is piling up, you don't sleep enough, you get sick for a while...and lose all motivation and energy to do things. Afterwards, there is just way too much backlog, and everything you do becomes a chore....even the things you normally love to do. You feel like you don't even know where to start anymore, and one thing is keeping you from another. I'm not the only one, right?
This is also the reason why I haven't even drawn or posted my own stuff in a long time, despite me wanting to. The 'being sick' part only happens once a few years or so, if the universe runs out of creative ideas on how to stall me...and it does find all kinds of ways to interfere if I'm about to make significant progress. My sleeping schedule also took a critical hit again this weekend, so it's a major case of FML. -.-'
So, anyway. I can't get to the commissions just yet, since I want to first familiarize myself with the new tablet (I swear, I'm gonna try so hard to at least clean up after all of this clusterfuck, so I can properly work on this afterwards >.<). I honestly don't want to cancel the pending deals. Please bear with me a little longer.
I haven't forgotten you. But if you read the above, you should know why this is taking so long.
Also, I'm not entirely sure if I can do what you asked of me, aside from some of the details being not entirely clear in my head. This will have to wait a while, until I would at least feel like I'm up to the challenge.
Your commission, in case you're still interested, partially falls under the same point as the candidate above, so I will have to get used to the new tablet first. But on the bright side, it will be much easier to imagine and draw, since the OC you wanted me to draw was a girl, without overly complicated BGs or scenes.^^
We already talked about this a while ago, so I will say it again...your medium of choice would be the easiest to accomplish, but I will need to practice a bit again before I feel comfortable drawing a guy. Especially one for which I don't have any references other than the peculiar one you gave me. This will take some time compliling in my head too, since I wanna do this properly.
You've already noted me a while back that this is being delayed from your side anyway, but in case you're still interested in the future, just tell me when you're up to it, and we'll get to it once the other commissions are finished.
That was all I needed to say for now. I'll be back with news as soon as something changes, and there is visible progress in any way. Have a nice day/night, folks.
